Embracing our gifts

Greetings!  James chapter 1:16-17 (NIV version) reads “Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters.  Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”  1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (NIV version) reads “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.  There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.  Now to each one of the manifestation of the Spirit it is given for the common good.  To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.   All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.”  Powerful Bible scriptures here on the gifts and various spiritual gifts that God/Jesus gives us!

We all (especially those of us who are in Christ Jesus) must each embrace our spiritual gifts and be content with them.  We must never fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others gifts and talents.  Sure we can admire others gifts and talents and be inspired by them BUT we must be our very own original selves!  We must each be the person/person’s whom God/Jesus has created us to be!  The world needs your originality and gifts and there is no one else like you!  We are each a masterpiece created in the image of God/Jesus!!

So with that being said let’s be our own original self’s operating in our spiritual gifts and talents being whom God/Jesus wants us to be!  When we imitate others other than Jesus we are doing God/Jesus,  ourselves and the world alike a great disservice.  We are robbing ourselves and others of what we TRULY have to offer!  Together we will make the world a better place as we operate in our spiritual gifts with the Holy Spirit guiding us along the way!  We will do this together!!  Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊 and love ❤️!!
