Don’t follow the crowd

“Don’t follow the crowd.”

Greetings everyone! The gospel of Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV version and in the words of Jesus Christ) reads “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Such truth stated here by Jesus Christ Himself! Too often in the world today (and even throughout human existence) people are often drawn to follow the crowd and to do what is popular whether it is right or wrong. This is so cult like and dangerous and can have serious consequences which it so often does leaving many of us hurt and disillusioned. We should all evaluate situations and pause and THINK for ourselves and ask if this is right and true and does it go against my values.

I get it. The power of peer pressure and influence is real in today’s society and especially if it is coming from someone we hold in high esteem whether they be a celebrity, well known person in the community or close friends or family. Regardless of the circumstances we must pause and evaluate before just going along to get along and to feel valued and accepted. Sometimes or perhaps many times doing the right thing might go against the majority and have you set apart ,but in the long term it will be rewarding and beneficial not only to just you but others whom you may both knowingly and unknowingly impact! Also another thing to consider believe it or not there are others like you and me who are going to do the right thing and be set apart as well so we are not alone!

So with this being said let’s all strive together to not follow the crowd regardless of what is so called popular or trending but to do the RIGHT thing! We are all in this together! So everyone as we strive to go forward together and do the right thing just know that we are making a positive impact in our community and the world! Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊 and love ❤️!!
