“Being careful how we judge others.”
Greetings everyone! The gospel of John 7:24 (NIV version and spoken by Jesus Christ Himself) reads “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” On another note Proverbs 18:17 (NIV version) reads “In a lawsuit the first to speak seems right, until someone comes forward and cross-examines.” In other words before jumping to conclusions and assumptions get ALL the facts first! Appearances and hear say aka gossip is too many times misleading which is why first we must take our time ourselves to get to know a person and the WHOLE situation for ourselves before reaching a conclusion. A lot of people have been hurt and character and reputation has been damaged in folks being too quick to judge and having a judgmental and know it all attitude.
You see the best way to approach situations that we are faced with in life is with mercy, understanding and yes to give the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Just think how it felt when others misjudged you and labeled you for something that was not true. I’m sure it didn’t feel too good and possibly hurt. I know we all have at one point misjudged people based on our own limited perceptions and what we might have heard what others said about them. Truth be told we all have low moments and bad days and mishaps but that does NOT define us and who we are. We ALL have the potential to be great and the BEST that we (you and me) each can be!
So with that being said let’s go forward and remember to be slow to judge and hasty in reaching a conclusion from what we see, hear or from our first impressions. Let’s apply mercy in each and every situation first and foremost and treat other’s the way we would like to be treated and getting our facts straight and the TRUTH first! When we do this the world 🌎 will be a so much better place to be! Let’s together be the game changers and agents of change for a better tomorrow! We can do this together! Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊 and love ❤️!!
Very insightful and so true. We must be swift to listen and slow to speak to give our mind time to evaluate the situation with the guidance of the Holy Spirit
