“Forgiveness”
Greetings! The gospel of Matthew 5:14-15 (NIV version and in the words of Jesus Christ) reads “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Powerful Bible scripture right here on forgiveness and also how unforgiveness can have a negative effect on us and our relationship with our Heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Jesus mentions more on this forgiveness subject right here after teaching His disciples how to pray (which many call the Lord’s prayer in verses 9-13). We must forgive daily and always especially if we want to be in continual right standing in our relationship with our Heavenly Father through prayer! Prayer is so important and our way of staying intuned with our Heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ so let’s practice forgiveness daily!
Perhaps remembering that we mess up daily and the fact that God/Jesus and even others have forgiven us will prompt us to forgive others when they wrong us. Many times we have to even forgive ourselves! Forgiveness is for us (and even the other person as well) and sets us free and keeps us in the right relationship with our Heavenly Father. Forgiveness does not mean we forget what offense was committed against us but means that we no longer hold it to the offenders account. Forgiveness is so liberating and remember that God forgave and forgives us through His Son Jesus Christ!! So let’s together go forward and forgive others as we have been forgiven in Christ Jesus!! We can and will do this! Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊 and love ❤️!!
